My mom made most of our clothes when I was a kid but when she was purchasing anything for myself or my sister it was the good old Lane Bryant catalog. There weren't any stores in Canada that sold larger sizes of girls clothing so we had to order from Lane Bryant in Buffalo, NY. I am so glad that all stores eventually started to carry larger sizes even though I won't be needing XL for much longer.

Cute!  I love the old ads. Ahh the simpler days when women could work off their fat with housework..
