Confession Time...I Suck!!!
I have not been getting my water in either. I am one of those that gets tired of the taste of things very easily. I try to shuttle between herbal teas, Propel Zero, Crystal Ligh****er and decaf drinks. The problem for me is I feel so full after a few swallows that I forget to drink a bit more every few minutes. I know I need the water to lose the weight and I know I need the hydration to keep from getting sick but I just plain forget or don't like the taste of what I am drinking. I find Crystal light to be somewhat tart and get really tired of tart flavors easily. I tried Hawaiian Punch flavor packetts for my water and they are good but again get tired of the flavor.

According to my doctor and Dr. Alvarez ( I'm reading his book, Successful weight loss with the Gastric Sleeve) they both say you don't have to make all your liquids just plain water. So if you're doing Crystal light or Propel or VitiaminWater Zero and even your protein shakes things like that all count as your liquids. Do not drink Caffine - It is a diuretic and so it doesn't add to your liquid intake, it actually takes away from it. So stay away from the caffine teas and such..
I struggle with getting enough fluids in, and I count my 3 cups of coffee ! I feel pretty good on days that I get in about 40 oz. I don't like sweet drinks, and am a big water drinker, but it is a chore with not drinking a half hour before and after, and figuring out when to eat, when to drink.... I cannot drink the protein drinks, so I have to eat at least 4 meals a day to get my protein in.....and it feels like I'm forever putting something in my mouth !!!!
