Confession Time...I Suck!!!

I have to confess that I have a very difficult time getting my fluids in. A few days ago at bedtime I have started putting a bottle of water on my nightstand. I get up several times to go to the bathroom each night so each time I get up I drink a few sips of water. Caffeine stimulates the stomach acid...word from my NUT and Surgeon.

I drink plenty of "liquid" but I'll be damned if it's plain water. lol I can't deal with it. Crystal lite to the rescue!! I also drink at least 2 cups of hot decaf tea a day! I throw in some diet juice too...BUT PLAIN WATER!! Oh heck no!! lol Mixing it up like that I usually hit the minimum 48 oz a day.

If water is too boring, try Propel Zero... I'm a fan of the grape flavored one.  No calories, no sugar, no caffeine, but tastes like a grape soda (without the carbonation).  Good luck and keep us posted!

DRINK YOUR LIQUIDS OR YOU WILL DIE!  No, you won't, really - but you will get headaches, possible skin issues (dryness), potential renal problems,....etc.  Fortunately, I was able to get enough in - but I had to work hard at it -  I had a great reminder (Wifey) and on some days she turns over the chore to the grandkids - "Pop-Pop, here's your drink...."  Use a kithen timer or an alarm watch to remind you to drink - also, I suggest you get off of anything w. caffine ASAP.  I still have difficulty getting it all in, but I'm doing much better w/ diet-decaf-green tea and decaf coffee.
Good Luck!  Pop-Pop

You really do need to keep up with your fluids, especially since you are in weighloss mode...you definitely don't want any toxins building up in your body - flush out all that yuck!!!

Come on gang get your liquids in.  You dont want to do a face plant on the pavement do ya?  Dehydration can cause you to pass out.  I have seen it happen many many times in my line of work.  And people tend to fall face first;  I'm not kidding.  Slap! (giggle)   Holly

God, I am TERRIBLE at getting liquids in. :(

You're definitely not alone. That's probably my biggest failure each day.
