I would try maybe two tablespoons. if thats ok, can get a bit more. At your stage, that would be about it. At 16 months I can only do about 3 ounces at a time. Diane

I would just start out with one ounce and pay careful attention to your tummy to see if it is has registered fullness.  For me, my chest would make a gurgling noise when I was approaching fullness.

Tuna went down really hard for me for some reason.  At  3 weeks out, I was cleared to start adding certain foods and that was one of the first ones I tried, since I love tuna, so I was disappointed.  I couldn't really eat it till about 7 weeks out, and I can do about 3 oz. now at about 3 months post-op.  Its such a great protein source, so I was glad it finally went down.

Just proceed with caution and all should go well.

I recently tried tuna too. I do not like the diet mayo so I mixed a 2.7 ox can of tuna with the little snack size container of cottage chees and mixed it really fine. Then I broke the mixture down into 3 small containers I calculated the protien and each container was 10 grams of protien (~1/3 cup). Rubbermaid has these great little tiney containers. I have a bunch and when I make things I pre portion them so I don't have to think I can just grab something safe and then I know what I am eating.
