Fish Oil and Playlists!

Hi all, I am almost 3 months out and hanging in there. I was wondering how many of you take fish oil on a regular basis? Lately I've noticed my skin and scalp are really drying out, I feel that a fish oil supplement might help in these areas. Any recommendations? Most fish oil pills out there are horse pills and supply the lovely "fish burps".

Also, just curious what is playing on your work out playlists? I'm a total rocker chick, but pop and R&B music really get me pumped up to work out. What gets your heart pumping?

I take a horsepill full of fish oil morning and night due to having a couple of stents put in my heart prior to getting my sleeve.

Don't be surprised if your cholesterol levels improve when you start taking the fish oil.

Can't help you on the playlists, as I am a folk music fan!

Hugs,

Fred

I stopped taking fish oil when I had the surgery because the pills are so big but I'd like to start again. My daughter said Max Muscle had some flavored fish oil and flax seed oil that was somewhat the consistency of a yogurt. I tried the flax seed oil and it tasted great. I think I will go there and see if they have anything tolerable in the fish oil.

No advice on fish oil, but I know from a previous diet program that it's a good thing for your heart in general, so I'd definitely add it if your doc says it's alright.

Little Ms Sunshine -
I posted the playlist question last night but didn't get back to read all the replies until late today.
(I think it's back on page 7 or 8).
Gotta tell you...I printed your post as well as others......I'm really going to study it and and improve my lists plus make new ones.  I'm getting tired of the same one over and over.    Thanks for the info.

I take fishoil twice a day. Nothing to do with hair and such; internist recommended it for high cholesterol. Seems like what it did was raise the good kind but did nothing for the bad kind. Still, much better than when i was 125 lbs fatter.

And while the pills are large, they are smooth and easier to swallow than a comparable calcium pill. And no fish burps.

Gotta admit I am a classic motown fan. Shows my age.

FWIW, if you keep the pills in the fridge, you won't run into fish burps
