Good labs=no answers

My pcp just called back with my bloodwork...vitamin D was in normal range, all iron panels came back good, b12 and other b levels are in good range.

I'm almost a little disappointed.  Yes, she said it "couldn't hurt" to take an iron or vit D supplement.  But them all being good can't explain away my fatigue.

I see my surgeon on Tuesday so we'll see what he thinks.  Until then I'm stumped.  And in this miserable world of not feeling like I have the energy to do anything.

Being in "good range" doesn't mean the levels are ideal. For example, most American labs state 20 or 30 as the lower limit for vit D, but you really want it up closer to 80-100. When they checked your iron numbers, did they also check your ferritin? hematocrit? hemoglobin? What was your B12 level? If it was below 500, then again, it is technically within what the labs state as a normal range, but it's really not ideal.

Yes...I agree that "good" isn't ideal.
I would suggest that you get a copy of your labs and post them on the main board. Many very knowledgeable people there who will be happy to analyze and help.
Good luck!

Absolutely what folks wrote above... plus if I recall correctly you aren't getting nearly enough protein. Dehydration can be a factor too. What are you eating on a daily basis?  Can you post a sample menu?
