This study was on the local news with positive results... Anyone know anything about it?

I'm a graduate student getting my masters' in secondary education. So I have to write a lot of papers with abstracts and references in APA format. I have never heard of this product, but I did want to point out several red flags to you:

1. it's a .com. This is a for profit site.  If it were an .edu, or.gov, it would have more credulence.

2. References- most of his references are .com. Also he cites Wikipedia, which is not a reputable source of info for a published study.

3. This is an unpublished study. You want medical lit that has appeared in journals like JAMA or similar.

4. I'm willing to bet Dr. Shapiro is trying to hawk his ware's and came up with this pseudo study.  It sounds like he's trying to sell concentrate and so he's attacking isolate protein as an inferior product.

Again, I have never heard of the product, I'm just trying to give you some insight to what I saw. I'm not particularly happy about the possibility of losing my hair, but don't let that fear take over.

I'm sure regular lsolate protein is just as good and won't damage your hair. I hope this helps!
