It is just shocking to me someone would eat pizza at one month out.  Arent you on a post op diet???  Arent you worried about delaying healing of your tummy?

I am on a post-op diet, and while Pizza is not really on the diet, I was told to try things and see how they work.  Again I don't think that only 1 piece is going to destroy me.  My tummy did not object and everything went through just fine.

You are at a risk of lea****il 6 weeks.  So by distroy...ummm, yeah it could get you sent back to the hospital for alot of pain, tests, ICU visits, etc.

Its just shocking to me what people do...I mean, I was terrified of hurting myself.  That and I was really wanting to be sucessful that I really stuck to the rules.  I guess pizza just wasnt on my radar.  I would really have called it food addiction issue if I was eating pizza at 1 month.

I eat a slice once in a while, it just fills me up very quickly. When I make pizza at home for my family, I make my own pizza with zucchini crust. (1 package motz cheese, 1 zucchini and 2 eggs) I use my mini chopper and chop the zucchini, squeeze excess water mix with cheese and eggs, spread on a pan, bake for about 25 min, let cool and top with all your favorite pizza toppings, bake. It is good and I don't miss the doughy crust.

I've been able to enjoy a few nibbles twice. I ate all the topping and then took a couple bites of the bread.

I started at 324lbs and a size 26.  After losing 100 lbs, I became pregnant with my first daughter, who was born in March 2011.  My second daughter was born in September 2013.  I have maintained a healthy lifestyle and now hover around 160lbs.  I would like to get back to the 140lbs before I became pregnant with my second daughter.  The sleeve literally gave me LIFE - two beautiful, healthy little girls.  My husband had his VSG with Dr. Marema on 10/1/2012 and is on his weight loss journey, currently down 90lbs.

If your out at a pizza place and you know they have a very thin crispy cracker type crust, yes, eat a piece crust and all. I eat one occassionally, or I make my own at home on a pizza brick, or on the grill. I make a whole wheat crust that we all love and stretch it very thin. Delish. I can eat a whole slice and enjoy it.

I waited about 6 months after my sleeve to try pizza, I can eat a slice of Domino's/Pizza Hut-really whatever kind is around, it's not something I eat often though, it fills me up really quick and if you get excited about eating something different than a protein shake and eat too fas****ch out!
I'd be very careful about trying pizza this early out, but if you do, only have a few bites just to satisfy the crave.

Good Luck!

I've eaten the topping of pizza, but haven't tried the crust.  I've never really big on the crust anyway, so I don't want to waste the carbs.

I've eaten the cheese/toppings off the pizza and only one or two nibbles of crust.  I am fearful of getting addicted to the carbs again.  I have yet to try the veggie crusts..... may have to do that.  *smile*

I am scared stiff to try even "safe" new things..... I worry that I still could hurt myself, even 3 months out.  I could barely get beyond yogurt and cheese sticks at one month!  Brave peeps.....
