Has anyone been able to eat a slice without complications to the sleeve?

Yep! Some people just eat the toppings. I have eaten a whole slice before. i don't do it often because it is really doughy. If I can find one thin enough it is better. That is pretty hard to find in the frozen food isle. New York style or the thin and crispy crust is what I like now if we go out for pizza. I won't order in because I don't want the left overs around. Weird to say that. We used to order pizza at least once a week pre op!

We have a local pizza place with coal fired pizza. It is thin, and well done (crispy). I used to eat a whole pie by myself. I would settle for a slice, but if it will not agree with me, I will eat the topping (with extra cheese of course). I find myself getting bored with the high protein meals with dense protein. Maybe I will order a small pizza and just east the topping tomorrow to get rid of that craving.  It is never as good as we imagine it to be.

I haven't had any issues as long as I order thin crust.  But, only 1 slice & I am full.  Very strange since I could eat A LOT more pre-surgery.

Revision from Sleeve to DS (with re-Sleeve) on 10/10/17. Slow and steady ...

I just googled the restaurant and they have a lunch size pizza. I am so scared to eat dough as I have not eaten any bread or pasta since the sleeve. It is funny how I STILL fixate on food in my own little way.

Give it a while and try again. At 1 month out I was still on full liquids. I could not have imagined eating pizza then. My doc would have killed me! Your tummy is still healing. Be really, really careful about what you eat!!

I think I was at least 6 months, maybe 9 or 10 even.  But we once in a while go out for pizza.  I can eat a whole slice of the thin crust medium pizza.

I do not order home delivery pizza (like pizza hut).  Its just too big of a trigger food for me and really, it isnt *that* good.  So we either go out to a pizza place or once in a while we will cook a healthier homemade one.

So, Today is my 1 month uh... surgiversary? and I had 1 piece of beef/pepperoni Thin crust pizza last weekend. It went down fine it was strangely satisfying compared to the dense protein meals. I actually felt full, not just @ my stopping point.

That being said because of the calories/fat it's not something I'll be eating often!
