time of the month and amount you can eat

well ladies this question is for you. I normally have great restriction and am doing really well eating properly But once a month pre-period I go nuts.

It is amazing how much I can stuff in my mouth. Like I said I have great restriction and cannot eat much at all. It is like my tummy has an opening on what I call period day.

Anyone else experience this? How is it possible one day I can only eat a few bites and period day I can munch all day. Strange. Working on trying to get this undercontrol. Am tracking it as well.

So far (and I've only had 3 since surgery...this one here today being almost 2 weeks early!), I seem to be just the opposite.  I find myself wanting more in the way of carby stuff, but able to eat and/or tolerate less at the same time.

Oh yeah.  It was my worst time before surgery and it's my worst time now, post-surgery.  For me it lasts more than one day, so I have to keep very vigilant.  I also seem to sloooooooooooooow way down in weight loss - even if I keep food out of my mouth.

You're probably just bloated for a couple days. It will go away!

Hi, I've been experiencing the same thing this week- I've been eating constantly although I am making healthier choices, instead of eating alot because I still have restriction I just eat a little bit constantly. Hope it'll pass with the moon if you know what I  mean :)

I'm so glad we're talking about this. I've noticed a hungry "day" when I get my period since my surgery but this month it's been a whole week. It's been awful. Thank goodness I can't eat as much as I'd like to but I feel like I can definitely eat more during my cycle. I'm also on prednisone (2 more days and I'm done, thank goodness) so I think that may be contributing to this insane appetite I've had.

Even with these uncharacteristic days, I am still making good choices with food and what I consider to be "more" is really still a fraction of what I used to be able to eat. That's my comfort right now as I wait for this to pass.

I got my tom today and I've barely been able to eat anything all day.  Ugh.
But everyday is a little different for me - some days I can eat way more and some days it's a field mouse's fair.

Our little jellybeans are tres weird!

I have a hungry 2 weeks!  And I can eat more.  From ovulation to when TOM starts, I can eat alot more and am hungry alot.  It gets better and worse in those 2 weeks, but the entire time is much worse then other times.

I have found eating complex carbs really helps ALOT.  I think I do less damage even eating something super healthy and whole grain then if I try hard to fight it off all day.
