Congrats Lori. Sounds like your journey has been wonderful. I know we all have are up's and downs but in the end it is all worth it. I am loving my new life too with my VSG. It is so amazing all the life changes. Good luck to you and thanks for giving us an update. It was nice hearing from you.

Lori,
Congratulations on your weight loss and wonderful maintenance. My husband had the VSG in November 2007 and I had mine August 2008. He has lost 130 pounds and is maintaining his weight loss.. I have lost 95 and continue to maintain also. We LOVE our VSG -- did everyone hear me -- WE LOVE OUR VSG. It is such a freedom not to worry about food controlling us anymore. We are living life to the fullest and have so much more energy than we did. I will be 53 this July and my husband is 52 so we are not young, but feel better than we did in our 30's. Our only regret is that we didn't have this opportunity years ago. We have been given a gift and a tool and plan to use this the rest of our lives to maintain a healthy body and weight. We exercise by dancing, walking, etc. We love our skinny bodies and still cannot believe what we see when we look into mirrors! Thank you for posting your experience and hopefully we all can be an inspiration to those newbies and those considering this surgery. Good luck and continued success in your life.
