Please excuse my Rant in advance...

But the scale has not moved in about 6 days, I'm about ready to throw that scale out the window!!

Granted I've lost about 17 pounds since surgery, I know I'm not going to wake up and it just all be gone. I freak out and think what if 17 pounds is all I'm going to lose with this Sleeve!

I'm trying to get in the 700-900 calories that my doctor says but who knew it would be so hard to do that! I don't even have the desire to eat but I do try. I've found that my protein shakes go down the best with no problem.  He's also cleared me to workout so I need to get that into gear.

I have decided that I'm going to take the scale to my mom's tomorrow so I cant weigh myself.

I'm ready to go back to work I think that will help me with a better eating schedule than being at home and sleeping most of the day!!

Any words of encouragements, thoughts, or just shut the hell ups would be greatly appreciated.

You are doing great.  I have not had my sleeve yet but don't forget there other ways than the numbers on the scale.  What about your clothes?  You an tell by that you may be losing inches.  17lbs in 6 days is awesome!  Just keeping following what your Doctor told you to do.  How about your water are you getting that in?  Remember sip, walk, sip.

Hang in there, you will lose.  I think you are doing great and when I have mine and say the same thing, you can remind me that this too will pass. Don't get discouraged, you are doing great.

How about you NOT weigh yourself everyday but maybe once a week?!

Even in weigh****chers, etc etc, they said dont become a slave to the scale!

Mondays are my weigh-in days because that's the day of my surgery and I know what I weighed that day so I use that as my starting weight!

No shut the hell ups here...I had my vent yesterday with my 1 lb loss!

Keep on truckin' and you'll be ok!!!

I lost great for my first two weeks...I'm very happy.  But I hear so much about these "stalls," that I decided to not weigh myself until my two month post op at the doctor's office.  I posted this decision this morning and even removed my ticker.  It will be hard, but I know I will be doing all the right things and that it will be successful.  (I'll bet when I finally weigh in you'll be able to hear my shouts of excitement 'round the world!)

Do the right thing.  Don't worry about the scale.  The right thing to do is always going to be the right thing to do, no matter what the scale says.

Good luck,
sharon

First of all, do NOT weigh yourself more often than once a week.  Daliy weighing will drive you crazy.  Weigh on the same day each week, right after you get up and go to the bathroom.  Weight stark naked, so you get a true weight.

Record your weight in a notebook.  Once a month, also record the measurements of your neck, biceps, chest, waist, hips and thighs.

Relax, almost everyone has a slowing at first.  This will happen from time to time and it's no big deal.  Don't "get your knickers in a twist" as our British friends would say.

I went through that after losing the 1st 20 pounds and thought geez I paid all this money to lose 20 pounds. But believe me that scale WILL move again, you will have weeks where you lose loads,, and then weeks where the scale doesn't budge.  But I do promise the pounds WILL drop.

Keep doing what you've been told to do including exercise and your sleeve WILL work!

My scale broke a couple of months ago and I decided not to buy another one because I would be compulsively checking it.  I weigh in once a week with Weigh****chers.

Average weight loss for the sleeve is 10-20lbs your first month and 5-10lbs a month after that.
As long you are above that, you are doing amazingly!

Remember - the weight never comes off in a staight decline.  It comes off in fits and starts.  Lots one week nothing for a couple - that sort of thing.  It's frustrating but completely normal.

You are doing great!  Keep up what you are doing and you will be at goal before you know it!
