Ditto to everything LN said.  My sister followed in my footsteps too.  He is the best doctor I've dealt with ever.

Mine is $5500 with Dr. Almanza.  I have my husband going with me and you are escorted 100% of the time by their staff so I am not worried about our safety.  There are tons of people on here who have used him and been extremely happy.  All the best to you!

Oh, and the lowest self-pay price I could find in the US was $9500 with Dr. Wade Barker in Dallas.

Mine was $16,500 in Houston. That price includes aftercare. I like that my doctor is less than 5 miles away.

Ditto to what LN said...
I started out thinking that bcbs nj MIGHT pay..and found out it was impossible..my surgeoun in nj said he would do it for 30k which only included one night in a local hospital.  Followup care is being done by my PCP..and just involves booldwork and an upper GI...

I wouldnt trade my experience for the world!  It truly opened my eyes to the high level medical care available elsewhere!

Plus, because we came from out of the country they kept us in the hospital for three nights.  We had nurses and doctors at our fingertips which is very reassuring.
