A Tale Of Two Sleeves.(with pictures)

 Here's my so called "sleeve".  Done by Dr. Pompa (Tijuana, MX on 12/10/08).  
  
Here's husband's sleeve.  Done by Dr. Aceves (Mexicali, MX on 11/7/09)

Is it any wonder I've had to struggle for weight loss?  Dr. Aceves did this upper GI for me.  He wasn't sure what I have, but he said it sure isn't a sleeve.  This explains why I have experienced almost NO restriction for the past year.  And why I haven't lost all of my EW.  

 It looks like you have a stricture.

 Yes, it really does look like a stricture.  it's sure NOT a sleeve~!

Can you sue or get your money back?

 I think that's the risk you take by going to MX.  It would be costly and time consuming to sue.

I've been following your story.  Will you have Dr. Aceves see if he can do something like give you a true sleeve or at least explore what is going on inside?

 If I could afford it, I would!  But with the cost of our 2 surgeries behind me, I'm now rebuilding my savings.  Not sure where I'm going from here...

Your husbands looks in line with the pictures I have seen LAPSF publish of a sleeve a few years out, actually a bit narrower.

Sorry that you got a bum deal from Pompa. Hope you are able to get a resolution.

 I would think you should contact Dr. Pompa and ask her to redo t he sleeve for you - maybe Dr. Aceves would get on the line and discuss it with her....?  So sorry you had a bad experience - and I'm sure you wouldn't look forward to doing it again....but if she wouldn't charge you and she could get it fixed right...maybe it would be worth it?  

 OK this may be a stupid question, but where is the stomach in the pictures.  Just not sure how to read the xray....

The xrays look very different, I am just not sure where to focus.

That is horrible about the procedure, have other patients used the surgeon and had the same results?
