2 year post op.....pics
Let me start out by saying that I can't believe how far we've come as a VSG community. I remember 3 years ago it was a small group with only a hand full of ol' timers. I was the 6th person that my surgeon performed the VSG, now he has done well over 2,000!
For those of you starting your journey, I wish you much success. Never measure YOUR accomplishments with that of others. Go at your own pace, if you follow the rules you will succeed. I know that its been said a million times before, this is JUST a tool. You need to work at this, eat well, exercise, and change your mind set. Don't get me wrong, I eat everything! I'm just careful with portion control and carbs. I didn't make it to goal by 4lbs, and that's okay. According to the BMI chart I'm still overweight/obese, that's okay. You need to get to where YOU feel fine, I feel fine. I'm very careful not to go over 5lbs, its very easy to gain weight when you are not careful.
For those of you that began your journey with me or before, thank you for your unlimited support. Thank you for sharing and allowing me to share such intimate moments. We've become such a great family with aunties, grandmas, lil' sisters, big sisters, etc... Thank you for your warmness, I feel like I've known you guys forever.
For our friends that no longer post but often lurk, stop by and say hi.
Any who, here are the stats: Started out at 215lbs, size 20, 42F bra, 71/2 shoe size, 9 ring size!
Now, 134lbs, size 8, 32C bra, 61/2 shoe size, 7 ring size
I had plastics (TT/BR) on 6/29/09, still healing, hopefully after the swelling I'll go down a size.

Thanks! Yeah I remember being pre op and feeling so hopeful when people would post their before and afters. I'm returning the favor, I hope the new VSGers will do the same. Its very easy to go on with our lifes once we feel "normal". Some never look back, OH becomes a horrible memory of what their obese past was. I really enjoy posting here, although most of my time is spent on the plastics board since thats where I'm at in my journey.
