I didn't use Dr Alverez, but I financed most of the cost of the surgery.

I applied with ALL of the above companies and found that SurgeryLoans was the only one that could get me loans for out of the country (Dominican Republic), Mexico might be different.

I used SurgeryLoans.com........RIPOFF. They charge VERY high fees to get you loans, lie about who is keeping the "fees", then the bank charges very high interest rates.

Capital One I heard shut down their healthcare loans.

I have loans with
MedChoice
Highland Premier Bank

I also have MedMoney (Cosmeticredit, only used in the US)  that I will use if I need to see a bariatric doctor anytime.

I needed the money to get the surgery, the loans are the only thing I regret about having surgery.

I'm using SurgeryLoans now and I agree, they do rip you off. They're charging I believe around $750 in fees just for going through their site. The interest rates they gave us were 0% for the first 6 months, and then 11% after that.

And for some reason, SurgeryLoans applied us for a MedChoice card. They didn't even tell us they were doing it! So now I have a MedChoice card for $7000 that I don't plan on using and my co-borrower has one for $2500. I repeat, we did not even know they were signing us up for this. Kinda shady stuff going on there. But whatever, as long as I get the surgery, we'll deal with the rest.

I used Care Credit, no fees. Interest rate is about 14%, but I was told that medical loans are risky because they cannot be collected if you default, so I couldn't get a better rate anywhere. No hassles, I applied online was immediately accepted and they sent a card in the mail.

I did not use any of those, but I did apply for a couple.  I will just say to be VERY careful about applying with a company someone suggests online.  I applied to one someone on this board suggested to me and it was a SCAM.

Good luck with getting your financing!

Thanks,
I am desperate to find funding but I don't want to end up in any kind of scam. So I guess maybe I should rephrase my question to say "What legitimate loans have you all taken out for surgery with Dr. Alveraz?

I used CareCredit for my plastic surgery without incident.  Just make sure you understand the terms.  My doc required me to pay interest up front based on how long I chose 0% financing for... it had something to do with the fee he was charged depending on the terms.  It wasn't too much, under $75 if I remember correctly.

I have used Care Credit for vet bills, eye glasses and dental work.  I took advantage of the promotional offers (6 or 12 months same as cash) and saved a lot in interest.  I applied on line, got instant approval and got a card in the mail.
