Thanks for sharing.  I know that I am 10mos out and I have definitely been quite the "grazer"...I will try your routine as well...

Thanks for bringing this up.  I am pre-op and trying to loose the 10-15 pounds that my surgeon wants me to loose before surgery.  I am trying to follow the post-op eating pattern as much as I can.  My question is - do you start your three hour countdown from the time you finish your meal or from the time you began your meal?  I am assuming it is after finishing but wanted to make sure. I have found myself grazing way too much when I try to diet and I think your tip is one I am going to try and follow. Hopefully this will help me shed the pounds now but also I will be ready for my eating pattern after the sleeve.

I actually start my 3 hours when I begin my meal.  I only allow myself whatever I can comfortably eat in a 15 minute time window per my doctors instruction so being only 15 minutes I wouldn't think it would make much difference whether you started it at the beginning of you meal or at the end as long as you did it the same every time - like from beginning to beginning or end to end and not end to beginning.  Good for you for losing some before surgery!!  That will help you recover easier.  I wish you much success!
