Good Friday morning to you!

I have an odd question - are there any restrictions on types of food anyone with VSG can eat?  Like popcorn?  The question just popped into my head so I had to ask.  Pun intended

Happy Friday all!

I was told by my nut. that popcorn was a food to avoid. I don't know about way in the future though.

10 lbs lost preop.

I'll keep that in mind.  Another question on my list for the doc.  Thanks.

At about 6 months out I started to eat popcorn.  I think that earlier it could get stuck in your suture line and cause trouble.

Yes, what Carol F said.  It could definitely cause problems with your staple line early on (first 6 months at least).  I tried a little when I was 6 months out.  I have it occasionally as a snack, now.  I love popcorn!

Thanks Carol.  I love popcorn and was wondering if it is a food I'll be able to enjoy again.  Wasn't sure because of the hulls.  Good to hear from you.  Take care!

That seems to be the consensus.  Ahhh, movie popcorn.  A personal favorite.  I don't even need the butter : )
