VSG Loan???
My friend is having a lap-band procedure in mid December, and when she applied for a loan for WLS, she was charged an additional $2,000 since it was an unsecured loan. Has anyone financed their VSG with a finance company or bank who did not charge that extra fee? She also tried Capital One bank, formerly Hibernia, and they wanted to charge her an extra $3,000 in addition to the loan amount since they couldn't repossess her lap-band if she didn't pay the loan back. They also told her that even if she paid the loan back on time, the extra fee was non-refundable. That really sucks. I would hate to have to payback an additional $2-3,000 in addition to what they charge for interest. I don't own my own home so, I can't make an equity loan. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Hello: I perfectly understand the struggle of finding the money for the surgery. I had as a first option a company called Care Credit, look their info at www.carecredit.com they open a personal credit line for you. My second option was taking a equity loan, which I finally did.
