Congrats on your success! You must be feeling wonderful! I'll be going to see Dr. Alvarez in one week...can't wait, but nervous, too.

I think you may have posted in the wrong surgery forum, though. This is for "VBG" not "VSG". I ended up here out of curiosity and saw your post!

Hi Bobbijo

It's been a while since your last post, and I was wondering how you're doing.  I am considering a RNY with Dr. Williams, and wonder what your thoughts are about him and the Penn program.

Thanks!

I had a VBG 16 years ago and I am being revised to the DS next week.  What type of problems are you having?  Do you have a mesh band?

Topic: 70 pounds gone in 7 months!
Tomorrow is my 7 months since my Jan 18th surgery date. I trusted that if his worked for others it would work for me too and it has!!  I was a size 24 and am now a 14 wearing L tops. Crossing my fingers that the next 5 months go as smoothly and I'll hit my goal of 140. Everywhere I go people are shocked by the difference but I'm averaging 2.5 loss a week so that' healthy. Will have to get B&A pics to post soon.

Hope you're all having a great day. To all the newbies out there, don't stop believing!
MichelleJoy - Thank you Dr. Alvarez!
