Hi im in the being start Dec30 the psychological GI some type of xray and i c the dietary if i just can get some support through this journal i have been reading different situation to help me understand what to expect.

Topic: My WLS and my school project...

I never knew how my beliefs about medical knowledge would impact me before starting this journey. Six month later, I can really see how it helped me with working through the medical system and all the doctors I had to go see. It impacted me so much, I made it the topic of my school project...my dissertation. I'd love to see what you all think and have the diversity here shown in my results. Topic: Insurance Question

Ok so, I have UHC and my paperwork was submitted on 11/7/11. I called my case manger with the insurance company and get her voicemail. She has not returned any of my calls. Called my surgeon's office and was told that my insurance is asking for a billing code. How long is this approval or denial going to take? I was hoping to have this done before the end of the year.

It is the VBG but revised.

The upper part of the stomach is stapled vertically and divided completely from the rest of the stomach to create a small one-ounce pouch. For durability, the staples are made of titanium. A new generation of lightweight, macroporous polypropylene mesh is placed at the lower end of the pouch. This fixes the size of the outlet of the pouch and prevents it from stretching. The mesh slows the emptying of food and creates a feeling of fullness.

What is the new procedure called? You are posting in the VBG forum which is a very old surgery. In fact I originally had the VBG back in 1989.

Just curious, please tell me about this new procedure.
