Topic: RE: almost one week post ops vbg!!
Hi Sonya! Move around and do bend overs at the waist. Sometime walking about. And some Gas Ex always helps. I remember my one week out. It was a very interesting time. Remember every day you will feel stronger and better! I hope you are doing well. Hugs Angel J

Donna, He basically told me that you have to follow the same rules with the lap band as you do with VBG. He doesn't want me to have another failed surgrey. Does this sound right?

Laura, Did your surgeon say why he feels you should have RNY instead of the Lap Band? Donna A.

Topic: 100 Pounds Lighter today!!! WAHOO!!!
Well guys, Had my yearly physical today and I am exactly 100 pounds down from 12/13/2006 @ 389.5 now. I am very happy about this. Also, my BP is down by about 30 points to 99 over 66. NICE! Only "bad" part was the ole slippery finger routine. How do I get my Century Club Card? Happiness... MKJ

Topic: Who still performs This One?
Hello, my name is Tara, I am just starting my pre-lims with Cedar-Sanai in los angeles California my insurance is blue-cross Plus. I am still undecided as to which procedure, however the one I think I want is the VBG, however oddly, some people in this filled never even heard of it or they explain that " OH, KNOW ONE EVEN DOES THAT ANYMORE, SINCE IT HAS THE WORST SUCCESS RATE,". So, I'm trying to find out if any of you know of a doctor that does in my area I'd be more than grateful to hear from you. Someone has to still perform it, after all, there's always new post availible on this site.
