I am having a hard time losing weight right now. I have not been able to keep on task. I have been distracted since I blew the transmission on my truck last Thursday. My weight loss goals for today are as follows... 1 -- Go to the gym and workout for 1/2 hour 2 -- Walk 1 mile 3 -- Stay away from sugar 4 -- Drink water 5 -- Stay around 1,000 calories (or 1,300 with NO sugar) 6 -- Stop eating at 6PM 7 -- Go to bed early to get the job done! I will report back tomorrow on my success. Sharon 340/200/156

Hi Sharon, I have been having trouble staying on track as well. I seem to be slipping into old habits and reaching for food when I am bored or sad. I try my best to stay busy, but its so hard and tomorrow is a bake sale at work. I just don't know how to stop myself from endulging when there are goodies around. I plan my meals and I still find a way to get off the path. You have always been an inspiration to me and I will make my own set of goals and see how it goes. I guess I have to remember that its up to m,e to make this work for me. No more excuses for me! Thanks for posting this Hugs, Sara

Hi Sara, Hope that everything is going well for you. I am still having a hard time staying "on course". It is hard to imagine that I am almost done losing weight. It is pretty hard for me to imagine. I have lost 10# so far and need to lose an additional 40# before surgery. I am continuing to go to the gym. I have started going for 15 minutes in the morning before work. I am also going during lunch about 3 days per week. Hopefully the weight will just keep slowly falling off. I am no longer walking while at work though. I am in the process of refinancing my house to pay for my upcoming tummy tuck surgery ($6,000) and to get a different vehicle. Once the money is sitting in my account waiting I hope that it will provide all of the motivation that I find myself lacking right now. I am seriously considering going on a liquid diet for the last 25 pounds. I want to lose 25 on my own first though. Anyway... I feel the pressure. Sure wish my therapist was back from maternity leave so that I could go talk and plan with her. She doesn't get bac****il December though. I guess in a sense it is right around the corner. Talk to you soon... Let me know how things are going for you! Best Regards... Sharon 340 then/196 now/156 goal

Sharon, I know what you mean! I am 9 months post-op (VBG) and have gone from 240 to 180 and have been stuck at 180 for about 2 months. Am having to BATTLE to keep the scale from tipping past 180! Am walking about 2 miles at a time, but don't seem to have the motivation to walk every day. This time of year is extremely dangerous (Halloween tomorrow and there is candy in the house). Getting enough protein seems to be my big issue as I am experiencing major hair loss.

Christine, I hope that everything is going well for you now. I had a bout of depression which sent me into a tail spin. Finally starting to feel "normal". Started back to losing weight again. It is hard to stay focused. Any little "bump" in my daily routine can send me spinning out of control. Lost 5 pounds so far this week. As it is my first week back on "program" I expect to lose 7 pounds. Then nothing for a week. Then 3 pounds... and so on and so on. Sharon
