Well... I went out to lunch today with a coworker. I had a hard time picking something to eat off of the menu. I was trying really hard to find something that was "healthyish". I ended up with the grilled cod. Let me just say it was an excellent choice. I was pleasantly shocked to find out how low calorie and HIGH protein fish is. I am not going to buy anymore protein bars. I am going to start going for the high protein foods instead. There must be more out there besides fish that will meet my calorie/protein needs. Thanks for listening... Sharon

I have tried nuts as well. The only bad thing for me is that they have so many calories. I do still try to fit them into my diet whenever possible. Sharon

Hey Sharon, I think fish is a great option too!! It fills me quickly and gives me all the good stuff I need including those Omega 3 fatty acids. Also i read an article about nuts and dieting and it said people who eat nuts stay on their diets longer and they feel more satisfied with their eating plans. I stick to eating nuts about every other day and it really works for me! It kills my craving for the salty crunchy stuff like chips and pretzels which offer no real nutritional benefits when it comes down to it. Also nuts keep my skin glowing and my hair shiny and healthy so I will keep on eating them Best wishes to you on your new endeavors to finding those "real foods" to keep you content and healthy! Yes, I agree with all of the health benefits of nuts. I try to fit them in 3 days per week if I have extra calories available or if I have exercised hard any day I give myself an additional 200 calories. Sharon
