Dave had his 1st appt today. He got his staples out he has lost 35 lbs. since his surgery on July 23rd. We are thrilled! I am soo proud of him, he walks about 1.25 miles a day and he is doing great with his eating and drinking. I am getting a little worried about his protein intake though - any suggestions?

Tell Dave we are proud of him. As far as protein go because of the limited intake of food, powders are going to be your best bet. There are a lot on the market, you will just have to see which one he likes. Dianne

Hi Taryn, Sounds like David is doing great. How wonderful that he is exercising already. As far as protein goes in the beginning it is hard to get the job done with food alone. Supplements might be the answer. According to my surgeon I was to get as much protein from food as I could. I wasn't to worry so much about the protein in the beginning. I would be able to get more later. And always... talk to your surgeon if you think something is amiss. Best Regards, Sharon -113# was -115
