i have a very uncomfortable feeling in my esophagus everytime i swallow. it kind of feels like something is constantly stuck however i am not even on food yet. I can also feel it when i take a big breath. i am on liquids for 6 weeks. so nothing could possibly be stuck. also, i havent lost anything in like 3 days. i am almost 3 weeks post op. shouldnt i be losing something every day especially since i an doing all liquids?. Maybe i am doing the wrong liquids. for example yesturday i had an 8 oz carnation instant bkfst. 150 calories. i had a can of italion wedding soup BROTH. the can said 120 calories per serving and there were 2 servicings. however the lable took into consideration the spinich, meatballs, and pasta balls. but i drianed the soup so all i consumed was the broth. AND THAT WAS IT. the rest of the day i had crystal light. SHOULDNT I HAVE LOST SOMETHING!!!!!

If you have the uncomfortable feeling even when you drink water you should contact your surgeon's office. Better safe than sorry. As far as losing weight you just had major surgery, your body is adjusting and healing from that. Your body is also probably confused by the change in calories that it is receiving. If you are eating, drinking and taking the vitamins that your surgeon recommends you will lose weight. Give your body time to adjust to the current cir****tances. You will go through times when you do not lose weight even when you are doing everything you are suppose to. It happens. Sometimes you will be losing inches but not weight. I had surgery in October and continue to lose weight. Relax...it will happen for you to. I like to track my weight loss on Fitday.com it helps me keep in perspective my weight loss. I also keep track of monthly weight loss on my profile here at AMOS. Just keep following your surgeon's orders! Good luck... Sharon -115#
