past surgeries

I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on this for me. I had an open fundoplication (GERD) surgery about 5 years ago. Will this hinder me from getting a gastric bypass done? Thanks in advance !

Hi Tim, I do not have an answer for your question. However if the surgery you are considering is a gastric bypass you might want to post your question at the main messageboard as it is frequented by the majority of gastric bypassers. The main messageboard gets A LOT more activity. I have included a link to that board below. The board you posted your question at is the VBG board.
