I would love suggestions on products tried by you, and/or websites of where to purchase liquid protein products that have been tried and tested. I have purchased Boost and Carnation Instant Breakfast, but I have been reading about people using other products which are really tasty and contain protein for weight loss. Any ideas? I am seeing things about whey, soy, fruity drinks, etc. I would love to hear what worked for you, or really, WHAT TASTES GOOD, and what takes care of hunger. This is both for PREOP use and also for afterwards. I welcome ALLLLLLL suggestions. Thanks. Rosanne Still awaiting appeal

I have tried several different kinds of protein drinks. I have finally decided to stick with Carb Solutions High Protein Drink. It only comes in vanilla and chocolate. I used to have trouble finding the chocolate, but it is becoming easier. I find it at Super Wal-mart and Kroger. It tastes as good as any of the others I tried. The reason I buy this one is because it is lower in calories than most of them I tried. calories - 100 fat - 1 carbs - 5 fiber - 3 protein 21

I get a powder from wishcenter.org, it comes in vanilla and chocolate. 2 shakes a day provide 100 percent of almost every vitamin and mineral you need, it is low calorie, low fat, low sugar, high protein etc. I get the vanilla to give me more freedom, soon it will be coming in berry too. I think it is pretty tasty stuff. Specially formulated for postoperative Gastric Bypass patients. I did the Atkins diet years ago and I know that the low carb is really important also so I love the Atkins shakes. they have a lot of variety, even strawberry and cafe latte I think.they are pricey, though. I also just discovered at Big Lots of all places the Carborite shakes which is selling for only $2.99 a 4 pack! I use them as a meal replacement and I do notice the difference in my energy not crashing as opposed to the higher carb protein shakes. Hope that helps! Liisi 226/190/130
