Hello,
I go to my first apt on Wed. 1pm.  I am beside myself with excitement and have decided I am not going to jump through any more hoops in my life!
Does anyone know how soon they can do surgery once they talk to you and do blood work?
I am so excited to get going!
I've been on a high protein, low carb diet since the end of Feb. so am feeling happy to have conquered the sugar thing and cravings thing!!
Already drink 120 oz water a day.  Exercise on my stationary bike about 30 min per day.  So ready to go!!!

I appreciate all the great answers and opinions people here have shared with me!!  I think it is great that we have this group to help each other!!

Have a great evening!

I just read your post and wondered if you made a decision about surgery.  I was self pay to Mexico last July.  I made my appointment and 2 weeks later was in Mx in the operating room.  Went very quickly.  I''ve lost 65 lbs so far with 18 to go.  How is it going with you?

Hi Julie,
Thank you for the message!
I am so excited as I go to Edmonds Washington (about 1 1/2-2 hrs. from here) on Monday July 11th!
I am getting the vsg.  I didn't want to jump through all those hoops and just went out in the back yard and grabbed the money off the old money tree!  Pretty much skinned the poor thing alive!  ha ha ha

Is it everything you wanted it to be?
Are you happy with your losses?
Looks like you're doing fantastic!!

I will keep up and let you know how it goes okay.

Hello All,

I'm self pay as well and hoping that I don't have to wait long after my initial appt with the doc which is 1/20/12.   I'm so excited that words can't explain, its all I can think about.

Oh, it will probably move along quite quickly!  I had already gone through so much testing just months before I went for my first apt.  So that cut down on some of the things I had to do.  Still had to go through a psychological evaluation.  That took the longest!  I called every psychiatrist in the area for a full day before finding someone to take me 3 days later. Then they took 5 days to report! Once the report was received by the Dr. office, then I could schedule surgery!

So, I saw about the VSG on June 10th and July 11th I was getting surgery!  I went from a size 26W to size 14 miss so far.  Lost 90lbs for the year so far too!  Feel like a new person!

Good planning to you!!  Excited for you as well!!  So worth all of it!!

Helen
