ketosis diet

Hi everyone!! I am curious to know if anyone has to do a 5 day ketosis diet before surgery?? my surgeon requires that and if you dont pass it you have to keep doing it untill u do. has anyone had to do that and not have to do a 2 week liquid diet before? and has anyone had to do both diets before surgery?
