I am having what is called the Vertical Banded Gastric Bypass. the way I understand it, is that it is part RNY and part VBG.
This is what my surgeon does for his patients that has to have the open procedure.
I had VBG performed in CT by Dr. Valin in December 2008. I didn't want to have my insides rearranged and didn't want to drop a ton of weight either and just be skin and bones. I'm extrememly happy with the results. Heide
