burps?!?

I had a VBG about 10 weeks ago and I am having troubble eatting anything. When I do eat I seem to burp with everything I eat. Is this normal?

Hi Lisa, I had the VBG 4/16/10 and I already had an issue with burping/belching like first thing in the morning pre-surgery. Now if I haven't eaten in a while or I'm moving about exercising and still first thing in the morning I too will start burping! It is so annoying. I have a small hernia and I had a couple of incidents with acid reflux but nothing to be on meds for. During my surgery my Dr. stiched my hernia, not sure if that is the cause, but sometimes at my desk when it's quiet...here come the burps!

But hang in there the nutrionist told me during our last support group meeting that it usually works itself out, but I'm not sure.
