How many of you have had your family lose weight with you after your surgery - planned or unplanned?

I am having surgery for me and my health. I am obese. My husband and children are all chunky (though not fat). I am hoping a bonus of my WLS/eating healthier/having more energy and being more active will have a positive side effect on my entire clan and was wondering if people found this to be true from their own experiences?

Thanks, Nicole

sorry....meant to post in VSG board. I am goof ball

It has been two weeks since my surgery and my husband and daughter both have reported losing pounds since my surgery.  My daughter has been encouraged by the healthy eating habits we are trying to put into place and she is very excited as she sees results.  My husband had VBG 10 yrs ago so he is being supportive by doing what I do as I recover.  So hang in there!!

My husband and son (son needs to lose weight, he's not obese though) joined a gym together.  I joined Curves and we all go our separate ways in the evenings.  Son is walking the dogs daily with me and we are all eating healthier.  One of my goals was to weigh less than my husband, but he has dropped a few pounds and lost inches.  Actions in this case, speak louder than words as my boys  are showing me their love and support every step of the way...literally.
