Help

Hi, 

I am new here, I had a VBG in 2001.  I had about a 70 lbs wt loss with it.  But ever since that surgery I have continued to have a constant pain in the "region" where the band is.  And now I have gained 30 lbs back when I had my child...and not been able to lose it.  I want the band and stuff "out".  but can it just be taken out?  or do they have to do some kind of revision?  Anyone know?  I am a military wife, so I am now no longer around the surgeon that did the first surg! 

what do I do?  just go to my primary care doctor and ask for a referral?  and what do I expect?  a whole new procedure?  or just take the stuff out?
