VBG to RNY or DS

I am just curious to know why most VGB revise to RNY and not to DS.

I have done a lot of research on both procedures and for myself I prefer the DS.

I am not saying that RNY is not a great procedure - just curious??????

I think that alot of people just aren't informed about the different procedures and go in whatever direction there surgeon guides them and since RNY is the flavor of the month and is what most sugeons do, thats the ways they go instead of being there own advocate.

My dr. and I did go over both procedures, but after a gastro-something (a camera down my throat to my stomach), he said the condition of the VGB did not lend itself to a sleeve.  I'm glad he determined that before the surgery date.
