VBG vs VSG

For those of you who were considering both of these surgeries and decided on VBG, how did you come to that conclusion?

I have been banded since 2001.  In 2006 I had my band replaced after slippage and I've been very unhappy with all the problems I've had since then (I'm quite certain the 2006 band was placed too high).  I am going for a revision (self pay) and I am not certain which option would be better for me.  I would love to hear what you have to say about your VBG.

The VBG site is not where I normally hang out as I am a person who is having Revision to ERNY but, I will tell you there are many options out there.


You would be considered a virgin surgery as you have only had the band therefore, go visit the DS forum if you are a self pay there is no limit as to what you can have unless you have a cap on what you can spend. Also I would suggest to you that you visit the revision forum, that's where I've been hanging out the last 3 years.....As everyone there are sharing only information about Revision....Bands to RNY, Bands to VSG, Bands to DS...there are many options....Check them all out..
