Eric, This is the 1st I've heard of your surgery.  Why does the Dr. do a band on the VSG?  I really am interested since I am seeking a revision from a VBG to a VSG. Terri

THANKS DONNA,  YOU SORT OF GAVE ME HOPE. I HAD A VBG IN 1900 AND LOST 100 POUNDS.  THEN I STARTED GAINING A YEAR LATER AND HAVE GAINED IT ALL BACK. I DID NOT THINK THEY COULD HELP ME ANY MORE. I HAVE BEEN WRITING TO ALOT OF SURGEONS AND HAVE NOT GOTTEN ANY REPONSES.  I AM ABOUT TO MOVE TO HAWAII AND WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT AGAIN.  I HAVE BEEN THINKING OF GOING FOR A GASTRIC BYPASS NOW.  I DID NOT KNW THERE WAS ANY HOPE.  MY INSURANCE WILL PAY FR THE GASTRIC BYPASS BUT NOT A LAP BAND.  I THINK THEY WOULD BE BETTER OFF PAYING FR THE LAP BAND BUT THEY DONT SEE IT THAT WAY.  I WONDER WHAT KINDS OF ALTERNATIVES THERE ARE OUT THERE AND I PLAN ON PURSUING THEM MORE. THANKS.  I HAVE BEEN EMBARASSED ALL THESES YEARS.

I wish you luck on any revision you choose to try, just be sure to research them all first.
