Hello, my name is Cheryl. I am trying to find a surgeon that will do the VBG in the PA or NY area. Can anyone help or give any suggestions? Thanks

I don't know where in PA you are looking, but in Pittsburgh there are surgeons that perform VBG at Magee Women's Hosptial. My surgeon is also in Pittsburgh, but I would not recommend him. Good Luck! Tabitha Harding

Hi, I had the VBG in 2000 and now have to have a revision, if I was you I would check into the RNY and not the VBG, stapleline breakdowns are all to common, do the research. I was down to 151 and now 200. Just FYI..Good Luck in your WLS journey. Dawn K.

Hi Bobbijo

It's been a while since your last post, and I was wondering how you're doing.  I am considering a RNY with Dr. Williams, and wonder what your thoughts are about him and the Penn program.

Thanks!

I was given the name of John Monk from a very happy patient.  He is in York, Pa.  It's the Apple __  __   Bariatric something.  Sorry I cant remember the rest. I looked on  www.shopdoc.com and found  Dr Von Rueden in Towson Md.   I started with a search on msn and found a ton of info.  You just have to make sure you know where the site is from.   Check the source.   This is one of the best sites I have been on tho.  (Obesityhelp.com) www.locateadoc.com  You could also try calling a Bariatric center and asking them where you could find one that is closer.  Check whith your insurance co if you have one.  http://www.locateadoc.com/surgery-guide.cfm/basics/bariatric -surgery-weight-loss    Good Luck!   The more info the better!
