When I was in your spot, 5 yrs ago, I found it strengthening and motivating to spend some time on OH.com looking at the before and after pictures and reading peoples stories from their profiles (clcik on their name from the before and after pics or on the message boards.
Just hang in their. getting approval and a date is the hardest part. Having the surgery is like reaching the top of the highest peak of the roller coaster. Its all downhill from there.

I haven't but I have post-op frineds that have, one with scare tissue build-up and the other that ahd a intestinal twist that had to be cut out. Lets hope yours isn't that severe and won't come back. Sounds like a good way to kill a weekend!

Topic: lower bowel blockage
Hello. it's been awhile since i have posted on here. I just had the scare of my life. About a week and a half ago, I was rushed to the hospital from work with major stomach pain. Once there i had a ct scan and it showed a blockage in my lower bowel. I had to have emergency surgery to clear the blockage. I have staples from the top to the bottom of my stomach. Has any otherRNY's had this issue?

I remember seeing something on here before about a pouch test not sure if thats what you are looking for. Do a search for pouch test. Hope that helps.

Hi there I am in Virginia Beach as well. Surgery scheduled Monday 3/5/2012. Looks like you are doing really well. Our starting weights are almost the same as well. I am a nervous wreck lol.

I'm new here on the forums and have my first appointment with Bluepoint in Stafford on Friday the 9th. I have all my paperwork done, and I've gotten the initial insurance inquiry done as well. I'm hoping to get a quick reply, but who knows!

I logged into the board today feeling a little frustrated with many things including myself... I didn't realize that it had been nearly 3 years and 16 lbs since I lerked here.
I obviously need to get back on track and would like to find the diet, which I believe is a liquid diet that helps get your stomach closer to post op size... Does anyone have it handy as I can't seem to find it with the search feature.
Also, any words of wisdom for the fallen?
