Hi all,

More little hiccups in the move.  No truck available this morning.  Maybe this afternoon.  So we are here one more day in NC.  If we get it this evening we will start and then finish up in the morning tomorrow. We still need another driver. Well, it will all work out.  Helpers will work out too.

It is already in the 100s.  Too hot.

I am praying for a break in this heat.  Who will join me.  We need to pray the jet streams, wind patterns and cool air masses to gently move across our area.  We also need to pray down rain for the folks in Colorado and shut the rain down for the people in Florida. 

When I was living in England, one of the most popular TV programs was documentaries on our weather over here.  The English were fascinated by all the types of weather we experience.  Is there any other nation in the world who experience our type of weather??

Anyway, today I work for four hours.  Hubby and his friend are driving down about noon so they may arrive before I do at the house this afternoon.  They can finish up the packing lol.  Hopefully, I will get paid today and can get gas and food for the weekend.  My hubby's brother and sister-in-law are flying in from TX so we are all having a farwell BBQ at the house at around noon tomorrow before taking the load up to VA.

We are still unsure of what kind of help we will have up in VA.  Hopefully, some folks will show up.  The more we have, the quicker we get done.  It's kind of hard asking for help in a town we never lived in before lol.  I ain't shy.

Hi all,

Took a spontaneous trip up to VA on Sunday to take a load up.  We really got a nice place.  More room, pretty walls, nice location.  God is good.  Now all we have to do is get moved.  I am still believing for miracles in moving expenses, help and all the things involved. 

Today I hit the ground running with last minute packing, recycling, and planning.

It was a great birthday yesterday.  We got a lot more done packing wise and then when we decided to go out, I put on my "little black dress" and it was a bit big.  Love those kinds of problems teehee.  I am going to see if I can find a good Taylor to take it in for me.  It is a lovely little dress.

Today I do more stuff in the basement while it is cool and then tackle the odd shaped stuff.  Send hubby back up to VA and get through the rest of the week.

Hi all,

Well, my hubby came home sleepy and grouchy last night.  He is not a happy camper.  He isn't totally committed to this move.  This move is much better than others.  I am looking forward to it.  He is not.  What to do.

Yesterday I woke up with my knee throbbing so went to Urgent Care and found out a sprained it so spent all day yesterday in this chair with ice on it.  They wanted me to get this topical anti-inflammatory medicine but chose to use essential oils instead.  I like the natural route and it feels pretty good this morning.

Today I am going through all the Christmas stuff and weed out the stuff I never use.  I will take it to the swap shop or toss it if it is falling apart.  I am hoping we get almost everything done today.
