Hello all,

We finally got things repaired and set up so the next major unpacking will be today.  I also will be going out to a local horse farm to check out what kind of help they are needing and to get some horse therapy.  I am going to try a new crockpot recipe again.  

Hubby works his first 12 hour shift today.  It should be interesting.  He gets a lot of time off during the week so we can do horse stuff maybe. 

Anyway, today will prove to be a nice busy day.

It is so nice to have the windows and doors open to a cool breeze.  We are finally out of the tripple digits! 

Do you ever wonder why we have these message boards if no one has anything to say?  Makes me wonder sometimes.  I wonder which State board has the most chatter.

Today, hopefully will make an appointment with Eric at the Wellness center and can get the ball rolling on a support group.  Can't wait to meet some of you!

The landlord is supposed to come over and fix the bathtub today.  It has a crack and the plug doesn't work.  I like my baths. 

Need to make a trip across the street to donate some stuff to the thrift store.

I applied for a job as a donut maker at Safeway.  I think I could do that.  I'm not much on pastry so it shouldn't be a temptation for me.  I rarely eat pastry.  We shall see. I can't believe how run down our Safeway is.  They used to be a top quality store.

Today we head back down to Durham to pick up hubby's car.  His car, unfortunately, does not have AC so it will be a hot trip back for him.  Eight hours on the road will be no fun.  Please keep us in your prayers. 

Tonight will be nice to know we are finally settled in.

Well the house is shaping up nicely.  Once we get rid of the mattress in the living room, that room will be done...except for the bicycles.  We don't have a shed for them yet.  Met the neighbors next door.  They are new to the house as well.  Nice young couple.

Today, I need to get an appointment for my dog.  She has been sick for awhile and needs to be seen.  Then I have to also do tons of grocery shopping.  We are down to nubs.

Hi all,

Well we finally got settled in.  However, we couldn't get our box springs up the stairs so it is sitting in our living room.  A lot of stairs have a slant to their ceilings enabling large objects to go up.  Not this one.  So we are sleeping on mattress only.  For the most part, we are settled in.

Still looking for a pet sittler.  Got a little time since I don't start work unitl Aug 20 unless I can find some temporary work which I am hoping to do.

Parade today downtown. I could probably watch it from my porch but won't be able to see a lot due to lines of people.  I'm going to try to get all my errands run before that time. 

I am hoping to get to know some of you.  I feel at home here but very much alone.  Talk later.
