Hi Holly, I just posted to someone else that I have only lost 2 pounds in three weeks. We are at Plateauville. Are you counting calories? I do and it helps. You can go on the plateau-buster diet, you lucky dog. I can't because I am still in phase one and cannot eat all those meats. As long as your calories are 600-800/day your body WILL give it up eventually. (PS see how many carbs are in your protein bar). Hang in there! Lois

Hi Holly I copied my copy of the plateau buster diet for ya..hope it is helpful..someone else from this board had posted this.. hugs judyb How to break a plateau #1 - Do this for 10 days to break a plateau #2 - Drink 2 quarts of water a day #3 - You must have 45 grams of protein supplement and all your vitamins/minerals supplements each day #4 - You may consume up to 3 oz of the following high protein foods, 5x a day beef pork chicken turkey lamb fish eggs low fat cheese cottage cheese plain yogurt or artificially sweetened (?) peanut butter beans/legumes You may also have: sugar free popsicles tea or coffee sugar free soda sugar free jello broths/bullion (sp?) crystal light drinks #5 - If it's not on the list, you can't have it for 10 days!!!! #6 - Keep a food diary and try to get up to 30 mins of exercise daily In addition to the Plateau Buster, change your exercise plan as well. Such as if you are walking, join Curves, if you are a Curves member, do walking on days that you don't do Curves. If you are a member of Curves, join a gym or buy free weights and alternate between Curves and the gym or free weights for 5 days a week.

My body is playing the same game Holly. We need to do the diet together. We can do it. My weight jumps up and down. I am having those awful pms cravings too and it aint helping. Being depressed about the weight loss aint helping either. Shannon

Holly, If I read correctly you are only having one protein shake a day and a protein bar? How many grams of protein is this? We are told to get a minimum of 60 grams in per day and that your body cannot absorb more than 30 grams in one "meal". I have two shakes a day at 28 grams each, string cheese at 7 grams, yogurt at 4-6 grams depending on the flavor and brand, a protein bar (usually south beach cranberry almond) at 10 grams and then some kind of meat as well. Remember that the 60 grams is a minimum...more is better. I try to get in 80 grams a day but it does not always wor****eping the H2O intake up is good, too. Good luck! {hugs} Tammy C 10 months post op -169 lbs
