Hello all, I had my Surgery on Monday and this is my Second day at home, My stay at the Hospital was a nightmare which is a totally different issue. but I was advised to go ahead and continue taking my normal meds once I was home. The issue is, I take 30 pills a day, 9 in the AM, 6 at noon, 6 early evening and 9 at bedtime. Only 2 of 30 are chewable and the rest I was told by the pharmacy that I could/should not crush or open (If capsules) My pain meds I decided to crush because they weren't taking care of the pain when I was taking them whole (8-10 a day) The other 20 are fairly large pills and I am having a slight hard time on getting them down, plus the liquid and anything else I should be eating. I don't know how much of these are actually being absorbed as they should since my insides are all switched around. If anyone has and helpful advise, It would be greatly appreciated as I am getting stressed out trying to figure this out on top of my new diet and have shed lots of tears over it.

Wow, Kimberly, that is alot of pills to take, on top of your vitamins?? Have you discussed this issue with your surgeon? I think you need to discuss this with them and/or your pharmiscist to see what you guys can come up with. You certainly dont want to get something stuck this early out. Good luck to you, sorry I couldnt be anymore help than that. Dianna

Thank you to all that have sent a reply, I did speak with the Dr. today and they advised me to talk with my PCP about getting some of these meds in Liquid form to help with getting them down, so I have an appointment with her on the 22nd and will see what happens from there. Too all, your words of encouragment are welcome and I am greatful to each of you for them. I'll keep you posted! Thanks Again!
