Finally approved

I have been lurking here for about seven months throughout my six month diet and the whole insurance approval process. I can finally post that I am approved and that my surgery date is 2-20-06! The fight with Cigna was not as bad as I thought it would be. I can't wait for my re-birthday as I have been following many of you throughout all your your journeys. Now it is my time! I will be a loser soon! Logan

Congrats on getting your date Logan, That's not too far off at all. I know you are going to do great. If you have any questions, ask away, someone always has a take on things. If you don't agree with something, that's OK too. Just take what you need and leave the rest. BTW, is that boy-Logan or girl-Logan? It's one of those names, ya know? Good luck, Carole

Carole, I am a girl Logan who is 33 years old and growing up I never knew another girl Logan and it was rare to see a boy Logan.... My parents tell me that I used to want to change my to Betty! I just wanted to say thanks for the well wishes! Logan

Oh, Logan, you didn't have to wait to get approved before posting...that is what this board is all about...support and freinds who have all been there. However, I am so glad to hear that you are approved and have a date....the rest is all downhill for you now. I had my surgery 12-16 and have lost 40 pounds and for this old lady, I am thrilled..I only wish I had this done years ago. Hey Logan, First..CONGRATS!!!! on getting an approval. Second...Welcome to the Board and yes I agree with Betsy. I've been here for a long time and I don't think I could have done it without the support of the many friends I have here. I am so happy for you and if you've been reading the post...you know I'm doing the 6 month diet too. It's very exhausting...the wait I mean. I am trying so hard to loss as much as I can before I get a date. I am having trouble getting in the exercise but I am going to work on that one too. Too COOL!!!!!!! Man o'man what a GREAT way to start off your weekend, huh? The day I got "that" phone call I screamed in the ladies ear from the insurance company. That quickly turned to silly laughing/giggling and after we hung up, Tears! I couldn't believe it - a second chance to live, I'd won the lottery. Congrats to you on your approval and scheduled date - fantastic news!
