I just checked the online number for PNH and it's at 95. It jumped from 60 something to 81 to 95 in the passed few weeks. I am sure the wait is still long though.

Hey..I noticed that also. That big jump was GREAT news for a member on here who was 91. I am so happy for her !! But I was 236.. which meant it would be NEXT year before I even got my surgery. I switched to Standard and think that was a good move for me because I did not want to do that time. Dana

How do you check numbers? Is there one for plastics too?

Hi Shelly, I'm 91! I had a job offer a while back and just in reading and guestimating, it looked so much like the start time for that job and my surgery date would likely collide. I took a chance and turned down the job because I didn't want the stress of "one more new thing." It's one of those things that will be there in some way shape or form whenever I am ready....which as it turns out....might even be years from now. Anyway, when I was trying to decide if I should commit to the job or not, I decided I have not called the clinic but one other time since my waiting began and that was to confirm, after several months, that I was still set for the orientation meeting I was assigned. So....I called and asked if there was any way they could even give me a rough idea. The best they could tell me was "No time soon." That was back in September. However, the case manager was very kind in telling me my number and evidently they had just started that system. When it was around 35 I checked it once in a great while because I have not wanted to spend all these months obsessing about "when". But honey when that thing hit 85 I was glued to it! There might be another way to get your number??? and if I figure that out I will post right back with that info. If you don't hear anything I wasn't successful. I won't try to get yours....I'll try to get mine because I deleted it from my favorites as soon as I got the call. Best wishes for peace and patience as you wait.... Amy

Nope. Sorry. That kind of info is probably all tied in with the privacy act so that it's not so accessible...which is a good thing. The web address for the queue is http://www-nmcp.med.navy.mil/bariatric/index.asp and if you call the clinic they will be happy to give you your number.....it might just take a couple of days for them to get back to you. acb
