Hospital and apology

Hey, Virginia Board: First, please accept my apology for my recent crankiness on this board. I have been extremely ill, and have let it affect my relationship with the good, kind and caring people here. I am sorry, and hope that you will forgive me. I just got out of three days in the hospital. I have a thrush infection that goes from my mouth to my gut. That will be taken care of with prescriptions. They had to put a PICC line in so that I could get IV fluids, as I was dangerously dehydrated. My blood pressure on arrival was 74/35. They tried and tried, but couldn't get an IV in. I have severe ulcers, which they are going to continue to treat with medications. The gastro-gastric fistula is bigger, and they will operate on that endoscopicly (a new, experimental procedure) when the ulcers are better controlled. So, things have been better, but I feel like they have a handle on what's needed and a plan to get there. I am resting and talking with the doctor every day for now. Again, my apologies to those I offended. I wish I could take it back. elizabeth 359/241/160

Elizabeth , I am so sorry that you are ill . We never know anyone's journey huh ? I know you said you where ill . But I guess when all this went down you did not know just how ill . No one wants to feel bad .. or feel hurt .. and I want to say from the bottom of my heart that we do support you .. and care about you .. I know that sounds strange as we have never met .. but we do .. Elizabeth .. I have met these people .. most of them anyway .. and there is not one in this bunch that would not come here and not be here for you .. We are all here for the same things .. to make friends .. support .. and encouragement .... I come back .. each and everyday .. I could not imagine life with out the VA boards .. Please take care of yourself .. keep us posted .. and if there is anything we can do for you please let us know . Hugs , Natalie
