Hi ya'll - I have now completed my blood gases test and other lab work and also my EKG. All good. Also got my sleep study results - mild apnea but not enought to need cpap. I am SO happy about that! I had my testing done at Fair Oaks Hospital and me Kathy - the nurse who interviewed me. What a super person she is! 3 years out herself and a wealth of info - answered every question I have thought about so far and REALLY put my mind at ease about this surgery going well. Also, found out my primary physician knows Dr. Moazzez and had nothing but great things to say about him. That really made me feel good, because I have great trust in my primary. ANYWAY - 18 days to go - I think I am finally excited about this surgery and that I have made the right decision at the right time for me. Thanks to everyone who posts on this board. I get so much good info and it is such a comfort to know you are out there and listening. Sylvia

Sylvia, Those last couple of weeks are exciting! I wish you the best of luck with your surgery. It's one week after my surgery and I am so glad already that I had surgery...can you believe in one week my blood pressure has gone down so much that I don't need meds anymore! Take care of yourself, surgery really will change everything in your life. Liz

Hey April. I hurt more later in the evening when my wrist ached then I did when the ABG was done. I really didn't find it to be so bad and I really hate needles. Courtney 5 weeks out - 30 lbs

Hi April-the blood gas test was nothing. He drew just a little blood from the artery in my right wrist. No pain then or later, and I got the results in five minutes. Not to worry about that one. Syl
