Insurance denied sleeve? any suggestions?

I have had all the classes and preop tests, even had a surgery date scheduled and medicare said no to the sleeve. Anyone else have the sleeve and have medicare? How did you get them to approve?
Thanks...any input is welcome...am trying not to get discouraged.

Did medicare offer another surgery? What was the reason for the denial?

Is medicare like medicaid??? I had medicaid for my insurance. I used the HMO optima Health through medicaid and didn't have an issue getting the sleeve covered. My Dr. office did all the work for me. Good luck. If the sleeve is what you want fight find another Dr if you have to and don't settle for no. Kerry
