Well I did decently yesterday with my day.  Got i a nice walk with the dog, no bike ride as the tires need air so I need to go buy a pump but the hubby and I played Wii Sports resort for awhile.  Food was okay, not the best as I did some snacking, too much Christmas junk still leftover.  Not much on the books for today, am supposed to pick up my nephews for a sleepover but hubby is home sick so we will have to see how he is feeling before I make the final decision.  Will aim for another walk with the dog today.

Good afternoon, Courtney.

Brr....cold outside!  This weather always makes me yearn for comfort foods, so I am on the lookout for great recipes for revamped comfort foods.  I found a cookbook by Splenda today -- going to dig in that and see what I can come up with.  Until then:

B:  Atkins protein bar
L:  Garden salad and a couple of quesadilla (cheese) tips
S:  Unjury chocolate toasted marshmallow protein shake
D:  Haven't decided -- probaby the old faithful, greek yogurt
S:  SF/FF pudding

Have a great day!

Hi All.  I'm starting a few days early on one of my new years resolutions to check in and post more often on this board.
I had hip surgery on Dec 18th.  Home from the hospital on the 20th... would have come home the 19th but there was 1 ft and a half of snow on the ground and my neighborhood had not been plowed.   Surgery went well, but because of the IV fluids I was up 10 lb when I got home!  ARgh!  Parents arrived from Florida the 23rd.  Three grown sons (2 married) who live nearby were here xmas eve, xmas day and the 27th for son #3 birthday.  Parents left to go back to Florida yesterday so I'm trying to get back to normal.  Tried to send most of the JUNK home with the kids and to work with my hubby.  So, am trying to get back on track but still on some pain meds for the hip... mostly at night and not moving around much yet.
So... attempting to get back on track...
B:  cottage cheese w/ fruit
L:  cup of homemade ham w/ bean soup
s:  thin slice of homemade fruitcake (of course there's fruitcake left!)
D:  1/2 roast beef sandwich.
S:  apple
plus 2 protein shakes and all vitamins scattered throughout the day.

Surgery 4/15/09 - 294 lb.
At goal   2/15/10 - 160 lb.
Currently:  ... and for the rest of my life:  Figuring out maintenance.
