Support Groups in Richmond

Hey everyone,

I'm sure this has been posted before, but do any of you attend support groups in Richmond? Whethers it's OA or specific for bariatric surgeries (mine of course is a lap band)...anything. I'd like to find a group I can attend once in a while...I need the support, plus it'd be nice to maybe meet some new people and make some new friends :)

I haven been in awhile but I understand Commonwealth Surgeons and Richmond Surgical still support and refer patients to the suport groupss that meet on Thursdays at St. Mary's on Bremo Rd off Monumnet Ave in Richmond. I attended there for the first 6-8 month postop before venturing off locally in the TriCity/Petersburg VA area (45 minutes south).

Hope that works for you.  They can be a huge help in addition to the OH board folks I lean on.

VCU/MCV has meetings on the third Tues of each month called New Beginnings except this month because of their Holiday party.
